Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att utforska ledarskap inom byggbranschen.
Metod: En kvalitativ intervjustudie med semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts. Utgångspunkten i studien har varit en induktiv ansats.
Teoretiska perspektiv: Studiens perspektiv är ledarskap och social identitet. Fokus har varit stilorienterat ledarskap, situationsorienterat ledarskap och modellen The Managerial Grid. Fokus har också varit på McGregors Teori X och Teori Y.
Empiri: Tio semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts med nio arbetsledare på åtta byggprojekt inom MVB i Skåne. En intervju hölls med en av projektens platschef.
Slutsatser: Vi har funnit att ackordssystemet påverkar arbetsledarnas ledarskap genom att skiften mellan olika ledarskapsroller sker. Vi ser också att synen på ledarskap är delad i en instrumentell syn och en modern syn samt att det förekommer ett glapp mellan dessa två synsätt. (Less) - Abstract

Empirical: Ten semi-structuterd interview has been conducted with nine supervisors at six constructions project at MVB in southern Sweden. One interview has been conducted with a construction manager of one of the construction procjects.
Conclusions: Our findings show that the piecework system in the construction industry in Sweden effects the leadership of the supervisors, through that the supervisors changes ledarship roles due to the piecework system. Furtermore, we see that the view of leadership is split into an instrumental view and an modern view. There is also a gap between differnt views. (Less)
