- Syftet med den här uppsatsen har varit att undersöka hur det fortsatta skyddet ser ut för de kvinnor som utsatts för våld i en nära relation och hur skyddet, specifikt kontaktförbudet, fungerar i praktiken. Mäns våld mot kvinnor är inget nytt fenomen men det är först nu på senare tid som det har kommit upp på den politiska dagordningen och blivit en viktig angelägenhet för samhället. Regeringen har satt upp ett mål: att mäns våld mot kvinnor ska upphöra. Det här är ett väldigt ambitiöst mål men visar på att allmänheten tar detta samhällsproblem på allvar. Mäns våld mot kvinnor är inget nytt fenomen men det är först nu på senare tid som det har kommit upp på den politiska dagordningen och blivit en viktig angelägenhet för samhället. Regeringen har satt upp ett mål: att mäns våld mot kvinnor ska upphöra. Det här är ett väldigt ambitiöst mål men visar på att allmänheten tar detta samhällsproblem på allvar. I en undersökning från 2012 gjord av Brottsförebyggande rådet kom man fram till att 6.8 procent av Sveriges befolkning utsatts för våld av en aktuell eller tidigare partner. Mer skrämmande är dock att 17 kvinnor dödas varje år av en aktuell eller tidigare partner.
Skyddet som existerar idag innebär stora påfrestningar och förändringar för kvinnan och är i slutändan verkningslös om förövaren är ihärdig. De involverade myndigheterna jobbar hårt för att de kvinnor som utsatts för partnervåld ska få det skydd de behöver men det är ändå inte tillräckligt. Lagar har introducerats och lagändringar har införts, allt för att komma till bukt med detta samhällsproblem, men våldet och statistiken kvarstår och är i princip oförändrade. (Less) - Abstract

Men’s violence towards women is not a new phenomenon but it wasn’t until recently that it became an important political standpoint and a significant concern for the community.
The government has set a goal that men’s violence towards women should cease to exist. It is a very ambitious goal but shows that the public takes these crimes very seriously. In an investigation made by the Crime-preventing council (Brå), it was revealed that roughly 6.8 percent of the Swedish population... Men’s violence towards women is not a new phenomenon but it wasn’t until recently that it became an important political standpoint and a significant concern for the community.
The government has set a goal that men’s violence towards women should cease to exist. It is a very ambitious goal but shows that the public takes these crimes very seriously. In an investigation made by the Crime-preventing council (Brå), it was revealed that roughly 6.8 percent of the Swedish population was during the year of 2012, exposed to violence by a current or previous partner. It is also estimated that each year, in average 17 women are killed by their current or previous partner.
The support and protection that is being offered today puts considerable pressure on the woman and is ultimately very ineffective if the perpetrator is persistent. The authorities involved work hard so that these women will get the protection they need but it is still not enough. Laws have been introduced and changes have been made, so that we may see an end to this problem, but the violence and the statistics remain and are unfortunately unchanged. (Less)
