Abstract
Harassment on Facebook is common and comes in different forms. This study focus on expressions of hatred online that offends people based on their ethnic background. The questions at issue cover differences in behaviour on Facebook between more or less racist people and between people who strongly identify themselves respectively not that strongly identify themselves with Swedes. A difference was also found between those who identify strongly respectively not that strongly with Swedes regarding to what extent they actually had reported anything offending to Facebook. In general, the study indicates that helping behaviour, in the shape of reporting a person or a comment on Facebook, isn’t that common. The overall reason for this is that people simply don’t consider the possibility. (Less)
Popular Abstract (Swedish)
(Less)
