Model-Based Conductivity Control of Fluid Composition
(2016)Department of Automatic Control
- Abstract
- The purpose of this thesis was to reduce the start-up and restart time of a hemodialysis machine by targeting time consuming control loops. This was done by investigating different techniques of modelling to find the best combination of versatility and conformity to the process. Finding the best controller was done by evaluating different controllers in simulations with the model in MATLAB/Simulink by comparing closed loop performance and robustness. The results were verified by implementing the controller on a LabView realtime hardware setup.
