Abstract (Swedish)
Studien... (More)

(Less)
Abstract
Sexual activity has in prior studies been considered valuable to the individual body, mind and relationship (Cox, 2009). There were not much research devoted to sexuality, sexual activity, sexual satisfaction and subjective sexual well being of female individuals in Sweden. Firstly, this study investigated possible covariation between female sexual activity and anxiety, on the one hand, and depression, on another. Secondly, explored women’s frustration due to the lack of sexual activity. Finally, it analyzed whether the amount of information about sexuality and sexual behaviour was in covariation with women’s sexual satisfaction. The method applied was an Internet survey of 31 women aged 18-35 from Malmö and Lund, Sweden. The survey results... (More)

The study did not find any covariation between the investigated variables. However, an unexpected find was that a covariation between relationship status and frequency of sexual activity exists: singles were rarely or never sexually active, meanwhile women involved in relationships were more often sexually active.
