Each party reason for their view; the Moderate party (sw. Moderaterna) and the Swedish Democrats (sw. Sverigedemokraterna) argue that each individual is responsible for its own will, make their own choices and therefore must face the consequences that follow. Both want to implement tougher and longer sentences yet at different degrees that will deter the individual and society from committing crimes and both parties agree with each other that the justice system is too cautious. The Social Democrats (sw.
