Abstract
This thesis is a critical discourse analysis of the development of job advertisements regarding gender coding. The time span is between 2007 and 2016/2017 and the material for the analysis is 40 advertisments towards medical secretaries and carpenters. This selection has been made because these professions are the percentage most female- and male-intesive occupations in Sweden. The study is based on the fact that knowledge about gender coding in job advertisements has grown stronger over the past ten years. The analysis is based on theories about gender, organization and the conception of women and men.
