The purpose of the study was to explore experiences of being in an organization facing an organizational change and to see what differences in experiences of the phenomenon exist between two different groups within the same organization. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight employees in an organization, four of whom were workshop workers and four salaried employees. Interview material was analyzed with thematic analysis and four main themes could be distinguished: Problem descriptions, Existing strengths to preserve, The desirable and View of change work. The main findings of the study were that there were clear differences between the two groups in; How they thought that the organizational change would affect their own role, how the change should proceed, what it will mean to them, their roles in the change work and where in the change process the organization was. In summary, the study showed that different groups within the same organization may have different experiences of being in an organization facing a change. Organizations facing a change can remedy many of the possible problems that may arise during the change process by considering the different experiences of different work groups, listening them and responding to their concerns.
