Vad är innovation inom en organisation, och varför kämpar så många företag med att förnya sig? Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka på vilka sätt etablerade företag lyckas bibehålla sin innovation och entreprenörsanda, genom att se till två huvudaspekter vilka berör ett företags kultur och struktur. Målet var också att bidra till ämnet entreprenörskap, och undersökningsfrågan besvarades genom användandet av företaget Spotify som fallstudie. Studien var iterativ och genomfördes via kvalitativa intervjuer och insamlad sekundärdata som berörde fallstudieföretaget Spotify. Vad är innovation inom en organisation, och varför kämpar så många företag med att förnya sig? Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka på vilka sätt etablerade företag lyckas bibehålla sin innovation och entreprenörsanda, genom att se till två huvudaspekter vilka berör ett företags kultur och struktur. Målet var också att bidra till ämnet entreprenörskap, och undersökningsfrågan besvarades genom användandet av företaget Spotify som fallstudie. Studien var iterativ och genomfördes via kvalitativa intervjuer och insamlad sekundärdata som berörde fallstudieföretaget Spotify. De teoretiska perspektiven baserades på de två huvudaspekterna kring hur innovation kan bibehållas via kultur och struktur. Dessa delades upp i ytterligare underrubriker, som exempelvis hierarki och graden av kontroll, gruppsammansättning samt kommunikation. Den empiriska data som samlades in om fallstudieföretaget Spotify berörde på vilka vis de arbetar med innovation och entreprenörskap. Slutsatserna som kunde dras, baserad på den insamlade teoretiska och empiriska data, var att en entrepreneöriell organisation som uppmuntrar till innovation bland annat är decentraliserad, fokuserad på autonomi och flexibilitet, baserad på grupper, har avsatt tid för lärande och innation, har stödfunktioner, en öppen kommunikation samt stödjer felaktigheter och misstag. The purpose of this thesis was to examine in which ways established companies are able to sustain their innovativeness and entrepreneurial spirit, by looking at the main aspects of the company’s culture and structure. The conclusions drawn where, based on the theoretical and empirical data collected, that an entrepreneurial organization which promotes innovation is among others decentralized, focused on autonomy and flexibility, built on teams, with time set aside for learning and innovation, has support mechanisms, an open communication and supports failures and mistakes.
