Forcerade flöden och dess påverkan för bostäders ventilationsbrandskydd
(2018) In LUTVDG/TVBB VBRM10 20172Division of Fire Safety Engineering
- Abstract
- Ventilation fans that are operating during fire in residential buildings is the dominating solution regarding smoke spread prevention in Sweden. Variable flows, in form of kitchen ventilation, has some effect on the system, but it is hard toestimate how much. The effects of forced ventilation and how to consider it when verifying the system has been studied in this report. The amount of forced flow used by consultants has been investigated. This is complemented with a calculated amount of forced flow based on statistics. Further, the effect forced flow has on smoke spread is studied. The results show that a lower amount of forced flow, than the one used by consultants, is possible to use. The study has shown that variable flows has some... (More)

The results show that a lower amount of forced flow, than the one used by consultants, is possible to use. The study has shown that variable flows has some effect on smoke spread through the ventilation system, at least regarding kitchen hoods without their own fan. (Less)
