The management’s opinion about the consolers work affected the sense of control, with those who felt that the management approved the counselors way of working, indicating that the control was higher than the opposite. The time constraint could have reduced the feeling of being in control. The resources the consolers have to feel more in control are their work experiences, supervision and counseling advice from other knowledgeable people and, in some cases, emotional support. (Less)
