- Tvångsäktenskap strider både mot den svenska lagen och mot internationella konventioner. Trots det uppges 70 000 svenska ungdomar vara oroliga för att inte själv få välja äktenskapspartner. Staten och dess myndigheter är ansvariga för att säkra individers rättigheter, därför riktar sig den här studien på Socialtjänstens arbete med att hjälpa de som riskerar att ingå ett tvångsäktenskap. Syftet med studien är att via kvalitativa intervjuer få en djupare förståelse för olika erfarenheter av Socialtjänstens arbete mot tvångsäktenskap. Studien utgår från tre frågeställningar:
- Hur upplever de intervjuade Socialtjänstens arbete och hantering av ärenden som rör tvångsäktenskap?

- Vilka eventuella behov inom Socialtjänsten uppmärksammar de intervjuade?
- Hur kan intervjustudien bättre förstås genom att applicera Dembours teoretiska perspektiv på intervjustudiens resultat?
Intervjuer har genomförts med forskare, yrkesverksamma inom Socialtjänsten, andra myndigheter och ideella organisationer. Erfarenheterna av Socialtjänstens arbete och hantering av tvångsäktenskapsärenden varierar. Genom en kvalitativ innehållsanalys av intervjumaterialet har tre teman urskilts: rädsla, kontakt med vårdnadshavare samt skyddat boende. De intervjuade uppmärksammar Socialtjänstens behov av ökad kunskap, rutiner, resurser, stöd, personligt mod och samverkan. Studiens resultat indikerar att det finns flera aspekter som upplevs viktiga för Socialtjänsten att ha i åtanke vid hanteringen av tvångsäktenskapsärenden. Med hjälp av Marie-Bénédicte Dembours teoretiska perspektiv diskuteras tre av de uppmärksammade aspekterna: kollektiv heder, kollektivistiska påtryckningar och en ambivalens hos den utsatta. Diskussionen antyder att Socialtjänsten behöver goda förutsättningar för att kunna ta dessa aspekter i beaktning. (Less) - Abstract
- Forced marriage is a violation against Swedish law and human rights. Despite that, around 70 000 Swedish youth are worried they will not be able to choose who they marry. The state and its authorities are responsible for securing individuals’ rights. For that reason this study investigates the Swedish Social Services' work against forced marriage. With qualitative interviews, the purpose of the study is to investigate what experiences professionals in different areas have of the managing of forced marriage cases within the Swedish Social Services. The study is based on three questions:
- How do the interviewees experience the Social Services’ way of working against forced marriage?

For that reason this study investigates the Swedish Social Services' work against forced marriage. With qualitative interviews, the purpose of the study is to investigate what experiences professionals in different areas have of the managing of forced marriage cases within the Swedish Social Services. The study is based on three questions:

- What do we better understand from the interview study by applying Dembour’s theoretical perspective on the results?
With the help of a qualitative inductive content analysis, recurring themes have been distinguished. The results indicate that the most recurring areas discussed in relation to the interviewees' experiences of the Social Services’ work were fear, contact with custodians and sheltered residents. The interviewees also noted the needs of increased knowledge, routines, resources, support, personal courage and cooperation within the Social Services. The study’s results indicate that there are several aspects that are important for the Social Services to have in mind. Three of the acknowledged aspects have been furthered discussed by applying Marie-Bénédicte Dembour’s theoretical perspective on the results. (Less)
