This bachelor is a quantative content analysis that focuses on the description of Autism in daily newspapers in Sweden. The research has been analysed through theories of socialconstructivism, user influence and discourses of power. The result shows that there is a big focus on what the individuals with autism can’t do in relation to what they should be able to do to fit in in societies norms and that the individuals rarely get the opportunity to speak for themselves. The purpose of the articles is mostly to help and the people talking about the diagnosis are mostly people... (More)
