which aim is to shed light on the Commissioners personal statements. The
ideological values that are expressed in these statements are the main interest of
this paper. The paper emerges that the debate contains ideas that can be found
within neoliberalism and social-liberal ideology. It shows that the political debate
is surrounded by differences in ideas between members who are for or against the
bill. Furthermore, it can be proved that these differences can be attributed to party
affiliation. The thesis shows that there is a dispute within the Commission of the
FCC, mainly regarding their role and responsibility and how they in the best way
can preserve the Internet as it ought to be, open and free. (Less)
