Modelljämförelse för prediktioner av nettomigration

- Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
- Abstract
- The topic of migration causes great debate around the world. The difficulty in making accurate predictions affects society as a whole. There is an increased demand for accurate and reliable predictions both from the public and private sector, which has given rise to many new models, as well as a renaissance for older ones. The thesis compares the well-established AR(1) model with the Gravitational model to predict the Swedish net migration of the year 2022. The predictions are compared to the forecasts of Statistics Sweden. The study concludes that the Gravitational model's prediction greatly exceeds the others'. The prediction of the AR(1) model is in line with Statistics Sweden's alternative assumption of a higher migration. Still, the... (More)

Still, the AR(1) prediction considerably exceeds the main forecast of Statistics Sweden.
Finally, model structures, as well as results, are examined and evaluated through compared analysis. (Less)
