This paper is written in collaboration with the Swedish Customs. The study seeks to investigate whether the Customs voluntary participation in the local partnership has some effects on their work with preventing alcohol, drugs, doping and tobacco (ANDT), and if the participation benefits the Customs law enforcement work in any other way. The purpose is also to investigate how effectively this local partnership works. To answer this, the study has taken a qualitative approach and constitutes of four semi-structured interviews. The result shows that the participation in the local partnership benefits the Customs work with ANDT as well as it leads to several other benefits, benefits that come as a result of the different legal frameworks that are at play.
