- Föreliggande uppsats bygger på en undersökning vars syfte varit att utvärdera fanfiction som bearbetningssätt av skönlitteratur i gymnasiekurserna svenska 2 och svenska 3. För att kunna uppfylla detta syfte har elever skrivit fanfiction med en novell som källtext. Jag har sedan undersökt elevtexterna för att ta reda på vad de väljer att imitera från källtexten samt vad det kan säga om elevernas litterära kompetens och hur den utvecklas. Jag har även, med hjälp av en enkät, undersökt vad eleverna ansåg om att skriva fanfiction samt vad de ansåg att de utvecklat. Många av dem ansåg att de utvecklat olika förmågor inom svenska språket, trots att de under skrivprocessens gång inte fått någon undervisning i och om dessa förmågor. Det har också blivit tydligt att en fanfictiontext berättar mycket om någons litterära kompetens, både vad gäller att uttrycka sig i skrift och att tolka och avkoda en skönlitterär text. Detta syns både i vad eleverna väljer att imitera från källtexten samt hur nära de håller sig den. Sammanfattningsvis fungerar fanfiction väl som bearbetningssätt av skönlitteratur på gymnasiet.
