Abstract
Purpose of the study – The purpose of the study is to develop a conceptual framework and model for further research, of front-line logistic workers ́ perception of sharing their personal information at their work. Furthermore, the study aims to create a framework for how to study information disclosure programs potential impact on employee turnover when being implemented on intermediate parties, not directly associated with a purchased good, but indirectly. As for this study, truck drivers being indirectly associated with a purchased good through the delivery of the item, yet sharing their private information to the general public at their work.

Purpose of the study – The purpose of the study is to develop a conceptual framework and model for further research, of front-line logistic workers ́ perception of sharing their personal information at their work. As for this study, truck drivers being indirectly associated with a purchased good through the delivery of the item, yet sharing their private information to the general public at their work.
Research Method – Empirical data for this paper were obtained through a literature review in order to gather relevant theoretical information regarding the areas of interest. A workshop in order to explore around the current attitudes toward information disclosure programs and the factors influencing these attitudes. Semi-structured interviews to validate the conclusions drawn from previous data gathered and to pre-test the initial draft of the conceptual model created. Iterations with experts was also a significant part of the research method for this
paper. It allowed the author to discuss the conceptualization of theory with prominent experts with many years of experience in developing conceptual models and hypotheses.
Contributions – This study has contributed to theory by providing a conceptual framework and model for how to study employees ́ attitude to information disclosure programs and its potential impact on employee turnover. Furthermore, the study has contributed to practice by exploring the attitudes of road haulage workers attitudes toward sharing their personal information in the setting of their work role as well as exploring how these attitudes would impact their intentions leaving their current employer.
Delimitations – The conceptual model assumes that respondents have knowledge of peers attitudes in certain aspects, including their concerns regarding disclosure of personal information as well as their attitudes toward information disclosure programs. (Less)
