Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
Abstract
The study aimed at examining recruiter’s experience of moral stress at recruiting and staffing companies in Sweden. Further purpose was to investigate dilemmas of four other psychological factors related to work, relevant for moral stress: cognition, emotion, control, and stress reactions. For moral stress and all other factors, differences based on sexes and work experience were investigated. An internet based survey was conducted, in which 21 of the claims were retrieved from three standardized questionnaires (Moral Distress Questionnaire, QPS-nordic, Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire). The claims were modified to fit the recruiting and staffing field. A convenience sample was conducted with 80 participants, 26 men and 54 women (45... (More)

A convenience sample was conducted with 80 participants, 26 men and 54 women (45 participants with five years work experience or less, and 35 participants with six years work experience or more). Results showed that the recruiters experience moral stress to a small extent, and a low estimation of the other four factors. For moral stress, and the factors cognition, control and stress reactions, less experienced recruiters estimated higher scores than more experienced recruiters. For moral stress and the factor emotion, women estimated higher scores than men. Due to lack of previous research of the matter in question, supplementary research is needed to verify the results.
