Att skapa rum med rymdteknik

- Abstract
- This thesis is about how to create architectural spaces in a not-too-distant future where new regulations demand better heat insulation in buildings and the implications that will bring to the building industry.
Rather than worrying about how to deal with thicker walls and smaller windows, this thesis is trying to find new ways of designing buildings that enable us to continue having the possibility of having thin outer walls and large windows and yet conform to passive standards of energy usage.
The result is a new invention by the author - an exposed inner load bearing structure that makes it possible to eliminate thermal bridges from the insulating structure in the outer wall - in conjunction with a new type of prefabricated wall... The result is a new invention by the author - an exposed inner load bearing structure that makes it possible to eliminate thermal bridges from the insulating structure in the outer wall - in conjunction with a new type of prefabricated wall element, made with aerogel foam concrete insulation, invented by the EU-funded SESBE-project.
This enables the small house, designed as an example of the building system, to conform to passive housing standards yet still have large windows and thin (300 mm) walls. (Less)
