- Abstract
- Titel: Biomimetiskt ventilationssystem

Handledare: Urban Persson, Lunds Tekniska Högskola
Examinator: Anne Landin, Lunds Tekniska Högskola
Problemformulering:
Hur varierar prestandan hos ett biomimetiskt inspirerat
ventilationssystem av typen termitventilation beroende av klimatet
byggnaden är belägen i?
Vilka är skillnaderna mellan ett biomimetiskt ventilationssystem
inspirerat av termitstackar och utformningen av konventionella
ventilationssystem?
(More) - Titel: Biomimetiskt ventilationssystem

klimat. Termitventilation skapar ett godtyckligt inomhusklimat utefter
svensk standard (BBR) och Green Star Council.

Problem definition:
How does the performance of a biomimetic ventilation system based upon
termite-ventilation vary depending on the local climate?
What are the differences between a biomimetic ventilation system inspired
by termite mounds and “traditional” ventilation systems?
Objective: The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how buildings with termite
ventilation work in different climates and how they compare to
conventional ventilation systems.
Method: The collection of information is mainly from literary publications and

Objective: The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how buildings with termite
ventilation work in different climates and how they compare to
conventional ventilation systems.
Method: The collection of information is mainly from literary publications and
interviews. The comparison is made only between existing buildings with
termite ventilation and theoretical information of traditional ones.
Conclusion: Termite-ventilation in buildings works well in different climates. Termiteventilation creates an ideal indoor climate according to Swedish standards
(BBR) and Green Star Council.
