Abstract
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to study and investigate why students at Lund University dresses the way they do and how their clothes communicates and give others a glimpse of who they are. The title of the paper What should I wear – A study about how students in Lund communicate through their clothes gives the reader an insight into what the essay will focus on. To answer these questions the thesis is based on six semi-structured interviews with three men and three women that studies at different faculties in Lund. The theoretical framework that I have used in this paper, among others, is Pierre Bourdieu’s theories of habitus, capital and taste.
