The purpose of this study is to explore how social workers relate to the increased interest in digitalization in social work. Thomas Brante's theory of professional theory, with a focus on interchangeability, Hartmut Rosa's theory of social acceleration and Byung-Chul Hans' theory of the impact of digitalization on society, with a focus on how communication affects the client meeting. The results of the study show that the majority of the social workers who participated in the survey are worried that... (More)

The results of the study show that the majority of the social workers who participated in the survey are worried that digitalization in social work will go too far. The respondents also feel a concern for their clients. The concern is that the clients who have the worst, cannot cope with increased digitization, and will end up even more outside. That those who need the most help do not get any help at all. The respondents also state that digital meetings affect their relationship with their clients in a negative way, they feel that non-verbal communication is lost. (Less)
