Abstract (Swedish)
37 individer deltog i studien. Resultatet
bidrar till intentionen, i just denna... (More)

bidrar till intentionen, i just denna studie. (Less)
Abstract
This study was conducted alongside a high school in the south of Sweden. The study explores senior students perspective on their future in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic. The empirical material was collected through a cross-sectional online survey, available to the students during a 14 day period. This study is based in the Theory of planned behavior and the
constructs that are examined in this work are shaped from Intention,Attitude, Subjective norms and Perceived behavioral control. All of the four constructs were then measured through four different behaviors, all associated with transitioning from adolescence into adulthood and independence. 37 individuals participated in the study. The results were then analysed through t-test... (More)

All of the four constructs were then measured through four different behaviors, all associated with transitioning from adolescence into adulthood and independence. 37 individuals participated in the study. The results were then analysed through t-test and multiple regression analysis to examine how, and also, if the different constructs could predict behavioral intentions in this particular study. Results show that the students were inclined to act on these behaviors but there are differences in what
predicted the intentions for each behavior. Perceived behavioral control, which was expected to have a significant effect on the student's behavior, turned out not to have a significant unique contribution to the development of intention. Attitude and subjective norms showed a significant unique contribution to behavioral intention in several of the measured behavior.
How this reflects a society in the middle of a global pandemic is an interesting point of discussion, which can be interpreted in multiple ways. (Less)
