We found that the social secretaries' knowledge and view on honor-based violence differs a lot – which was to be expected due to selection of respondents. Together with the theoretical concepts by Pierre Bourdieu – social and economic capital, habitus and field – this study provides insights into the complexity of honor-based context. With the theoretical perspective the study helped explain the difficulties with leaving an honor-based context. (Less)
