“Luz que contiene a las tinieblas”: la función del arte en La luz difícil desde la perspectiva del taoísmo y el budismo zen

Este trabajo estudia la función que tiene el arte en la novela La luz difícil, del escritor colombiano Tomás González, empleando para ello conceptos estéticos tradicionales del taoísmo y el budismo zen. Con ese fin, se constatan correspondencias entre el pensamiento taoísta y budista zen y la postura ideológica del autor. Asimismo, se rastrea la interacción de La luz difícil con otros textos que integran el universo narrativo de González y se presentan y examinan las bases conceptuales del taoísmo y el zen pertinentes para llevar a cabo el análisis. This work studies the role of art in the novel Difficult Light, by the Colombian writer Tomás González, by applying traditional aesthetic concepts from Taoism and Zen Buddhism. To this end, correspondences between Taoist and Zen Buddhist thinking and the author's ideological stance are identified. Also, the interaction of Difficult Light with other texts that make up González's narrative universe is traced, and conceptual bases of Taoism and Zen which are pertinent to carry out the analysis are presented and examined.
