I have used organizational theory, room for maneuver, and the therapeutic alliance used to analyze data. The result of this study showed that everyone is treated equally even if there is a language barrier. To be able to communicate with the families, an interpreter is used in the meeting. This study found, however, there may be some obstacles that could affect the communication. These obstacles can be a lack of interpreters or cultural clashes. To resist these obstacles, they try to create a dialogue and build a relationship with these families. It is to be able to create the safety that the client can experience and above the fear. This study found that it will be a challenge for the social worker to show sympathy and empathy, but that it can be built up by increasing the time for the meeting and having more meetings. (Less)
