In the final part of this essay, the modes of expression in the thematic analysis are examined through the author’s autobiography. Samarakis uses his worldview to present and formulate his own attitude to it through his short story collection. It is also noticeable through this literary work that Samarakis uses realistic descriptions to depict a life-like image of reality, with a characteristic writing style. It is this reality that Samarakis tries to come to terms with and he uses his burning passion against the exposed parts of society.
Through an examination of the full spectrum of his short story collection, the study concludes that Samarakis believed that our world is irrational. Despite this belief he wanted hope and gradually proceeds to the conviction that all humans must live in this illogical world and work hard together to improve it for a better future. (Less)
