Another difficulty discovered was the family secretaries’ aim of protecting the mother and child during supported visitation, where protection was being limited due to organizational resources and discretion. Furthermore the family law secretaries felt that the court often paid more attention to the father’s contact right than the child's right to protection and security. The notion of improper decisions by the court resulted in a resistance among the family law secretaries, where they came to take different measures to affect to outcome in favor of the child. This created a dilemma, where the family law secretaries were torn between protecting the mother and child and implementing the court’s decisions. (Less)
