- Abstract
- As the Arab-Israeli conflict heated up during May 2021, this content analysis applies framing theory on published articles from Jerusalem Post and Al Jazeera around the time of the ceasefire. This paper contains an analysis that look to identify frames used in news articles. It is visible that both newspapers stick to a more traditional routine where Jerusalem Post legitimize Israel and Al Jazeera legitimize Palestine. While legitimizing own causes and Jerusalem Post using security/self-defense framing and especially Al Jazeera applying the personalization frame, they continue to convey articles in a way previous content analyses has shown.
