A combination of qualitative data collection was employed to highlight the opportunities and challenges in a microregion from Transylvania. The results highlight the potential with special emphasis on heritage preservation for tourism destination building. This thesis suggest that a strategic plan guided by the principles of IRT is beneficial for sustainable rural development. (Less)
