The coping strategies that could be distinguished from the stories were the compensatory and the ones that lower the requirements. One of the conclusions of the study was that the social workers inner motivation has an important impact on their ability to handle the work situation and the necessity for the employer to map the work situation. The essay also discusses concepts such as ethical stress and recovery and how these are linked to the classic work environment models and to coping strategies. (Less)
