The thesis consists of three questions which manage the perspective of role, responsibility, and the relationship between the women and the social workers. The method was carried out through six interviews with social workers, which studied their perspective on mothers and non mothers responsibility. The result revealed several points such as an eventual distinction between mothers and non mothers and the way the social workers offered them support. Mothers were expected to take more responsibility in some situations. Non mothers also experienced some responsibility alongside the mothers. Different power dynamics between the women and social workers could also be interpreted in the results. Further results include the way shame affects the women's ability to take responsibility and seek support. (Less)
