- Abstract
- The world's elderly population is growing and the future home care is facing great challenges to cover the need of home care that will be required. Digital technical equipment plays a key role in modern health care and can be important to overcome the challenges in the future home care. A challenge that has been discovered within Helsingborg’s home care is that patients are worried about when personnel are coming during the day and who is coming. ‘Who is coming home’ - screen is a digital solution that has been developed to solve this problem. A challenge that has been discovered within Helsingborg’s home care is that patients are worried about when personnel are coming during the day and who is coming. ‘Who is coming home’ - screen is a digital solution that has been developed to solve this problem. The concept is a screen that will be placed in the patient's house to present who in the personnel that is coming next visit and when. The purpose of this article is to develop a design for the screen and to understand the concern about the visits. There have been interviews with personnel, the project group for the ‘Who is coming home’-project in Helsingborg and elderly people. The outcome from the interviews and knowledge from literature resulted in a design with three different windows. First page presents the personnel with name, picture, and time for visit. Second page presents the daily schedule and the third page the weekly schedule. Before launching the concept the design should be presented to elderly to identify if anything can be improved. ‘Who is coming home’-screen can in the future be placed in elderly’s homes to reduce worriedness. Future development would be to create an app to implement the screen. (Less)
