Forskningsfråga: Finns det ett samband mellan andel kvinnor i styrelsen och kvaliteten på hållbarhetsrapporteringen i svenska noterade företag?

Syfte: Studien syftar till att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan andelen kvinnor i styrelsen och kvaliteten på hållbarhetsrapporteringen i svenska noterade företag.

Metod: Studien använder sig av en kvantitativ metod med deduktivt tillvägagångssätt. Sekundärdata från hållbarhetsrapporter och årsredovisningar har samlats in och analyserats med hjälp av en multipel linjär regressionsanalys i syfte att undersöka sambandet mellan GRI-poäng och andelen kvinnor i styrelsen.

Teoretiska perspektiv: Studien tar sin utgångspunkt i tidigare forskning som behandlar relationen mellan andel kvinnor i styrelsen och hållbarhetsrapportering. Utöver detta används intressentteorin och teorin om resursberoende.

Empiri: Studiens underlag baseras på 109 företag som samtliga varit noterade på Nasdaq OMX Stockholm under år 2020. Insamling av data har skett via Retriever Business, Dagens Industri, årsredovisningar och hållbarhetsrapporter.

Slutsats: Studien finner inget statistiskt säkerställt signifikant samband mellan andelen kvinnor i styrelsen och kvaliteten på hållbarhetsrapporteringen. (Less)
