First, an attempt is made to address and answer how they understand the topic of femi(ni)cide presented and framed in German society in relation to their activism. Building on that, the thesis aims to highlight their views on possible solutions and the methods they utilize to counterframe this understanding. A second focus is on understanding the institutional framework related to femi(ni)cides in Germany.
In the present work, it became clear that the topic of femi(ni)cides in Germany is deepty embedded in patriarchal structures. In addition to the lack of data, destructive media coverage and government disregard for the systemic background of femi(ni)cides obstruct the implementation of adequate prevention measures. (Less)
