Forskningsfråga: Hur upplever anställda på två svenska företag att arbetsplatsens CSR-arbete påverkar deras motivation?
Syfte: Studien syftar till att undersöka samt skapa en djupare förståelse för hur anställda upplever företagets CSR-arbete, samt huruvida detta påverkar deras motivation. Vi ämnar bidra till kunskap inom den teoretiska forskningen angående kopplingen mellan motivation och CSR, för att undersöka anställdas upplevda motivation i samband med företagets hållbarhetsarbete. Metod: Studien har genomförts med hjälp av kvalitativ metod och bygger på semistrukturerade intervjuer med tolv anställda på två olika svenska företag i syfte att besvara studiens forskningsfråga. Studien har en socialkonstruktionistisk ontologisk utgångspunkt med en abduktiv ansats.
Teoretiska perspektiv: Studien presenterar tidigare forskning samt kunskap om CSR, inre och yttre motivation med ett vidare fokus på inre motivation utifrån modellen employee empowerment.
Resultat: Empirins avsnitt baseras på de känslor som presenteras i teorin employee empowerment med en vidare analys av intervjusubjektens upplevelser kopplade till känslorna. Detta följs vidare upp genom att presentera en koppling mellan motivation och företagens CSR- arbete.
Slutsats: Studiens intervjupersoner upplever att arbetsplatsens CSR-arbete har en positiv inverkan på deras inre motivation. Samtliga fyra känslor inom modellen employee empowerment spelar in, dock i något varierande utsträckning. (Less)

Research Question: How do employees at two Swedish companies experience that the workplace’s CSR-work affects their motivation?
Purpose: This study aims to investigate and create a deeper understanding of whether and how employees experience the company's CSR-work, and how this affects their motivation. We intend to contribute to knowledge within theoretical research regarding the connection between motivation and CSR and to investigate employees' perceived motivation in connection with the company’s sustainability work.
Methodology: This study has been conducted with a qualitative study to answer its research question and purpose. It is based on semi-structured interviews with twelve employees from two different Swedish companies. Further, the study's ontological standpoint is social constructionistic with an abductive method.
Theoretical Perspective: The study presents previous research and knowledge concerning CSR, internal and external motivation with a particular focus on intern motivation of the model employee empowerment.
Result: The empirical findings are based on the feelings presented in the theory of employee empowerment with an analysis of the interviewee's experiences and answers in relation to the theory’s emotions. This follows by presenting the connection with motivation and the companies’ work with CSR.
Conclusion: The interviewees experienced a positive impact on their internal motivation in relation to the workplace’s CSR-work and all four emotions within the theory of employee empowerment played a role in this, thus, to a somewhat varying degree. (Less)
