- Abstract
- Taiwan issue is one of the hotspots of modern world politics, as well as China’s Taiwan policy. In order to understand China’s Taiwan policy and its dynamics, the thesis focus on the policy change made by China in 2019 that suspending Chinese individuals from traveling to Taiwan. The thesis using Fairclough-Inspired three-dimensional model conducting critical discourse analysis. After the analysis, the thesis has the result that China’s Taiwan policy have always been dominated by the discourse of nationalism. Regarding the dynamics of China’s Taiwan policy, the thesis identified some changes in China’s political discourse after the policy change which happened in 2019.
