Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
Abstract
Purpose: This research aims at generating knowledge and comprehension of effective data-storytelling and the human ability to transfer insights from data through storytelling. The study will further explain whether immersive technology is shown to be effective in visualization and storytelling compared to classic tools.
Method: Through five different cases, various perspectives on how to relate to immersive technology are depicted. The study examines how established organizations, who either visualize their data through common tools or through immersive technology, exercise their data- storytelling today.
Theoretical perspective: Visualization (Franconeri et al. 2021; Gulden, 2016; Knaflic, 2015; Marr, 2021;), Data-democracy (Awasthi &... (More)

Empirical research: The empirical research of this paper is based on qualitative data which has been derived from 5 different interview subjects.
Results: The immersive technology proves to be a medium that can drive development for more effective decision-making by empowering visualization and storytelling. (Less)
