- Abstract
- This thesis examines the development of the incentive plans of large Nordic firms over time using annual reports of each company to examine the CEO remuneration plans and policies based on relevant theoretical frameworks. The paper gives structured reasoning on the CEO incentive plans change based on agency theory, crowding out theory, financial and non-financial incentives, long and short-term incentives and transparency.
