Abstract
The corona pandemic affected associational life in Sweden deeply. Since the associational life is considered a vital societal function in Sweden, it is important that it regains its strength after the pandemic’s end. Through an interview study and by using Samverkansmodellen and Resource Dependence Theory as a theoretical framework, this study aims to examine which strategies were used during and after the corona pandemic to facilitate associational life in the City of Malmö. Additionally, this study explores which collaboration factors between the City of Malmö and associational life that could have affected the outcome of these strategies. The study finds that all collaboration factors could have influenced the outcome in specific... (More)

Additionally, this study explores which collaboration factors between the City of Malmö and associational life that could have affected the outcome of these strategies. The study finds that all collaboration factors could have influenced the outcome in specific strategies, but that the collaboration factors “dialogue” and “openness and transparency” are crucial for the City of Malmö's strategies to help associational life. When it comes to associational life's used strategies, it is primarily the collaboration factor “autonomy and independence” that is prominent, but also the collaboration factors “dialogue” and “openness and transparency” are important for the outcomes.
