- Under vår utbildning har vi blivit intresserade av nivågruppering. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur nivågruppering används i gehörs- och musiklära samt dess påverkan på undervisningen. I tidigare forskning presenteras litteratur som vi har valt att dela upp i följande områden: nivågruppering som verktyg för ökad trivsel och ökad kunskap, att undervisa med nivågruppering, mindset, inlärd hjälplöshet och fixity samt nivågruppering i förhållande till styrdokument. Datainsamlingen har gjorts med en flermetodsstrategi bestående av intervjuer och observationer på två gymnasieskolor som använder nivågruppering i gehörs- och musiklära. Både resultat och diskussion är indelade efter tre huvudkategorier: organisering, lärande samt socialt klimat och kommunikation. Resultatet visar att litteraturen och datainsamlingen delvis inte stämmer överens och ger en inblick i nivågrupperad undervisning i gehörs- och musiklära. Diskussionen visar att lärare behöver vara skickliga i sitt yrke för att kunna använda nivågruppering effektivt samt hur lärare och elever upplever nivågrupperad undervisning. (Less)

Both the result and discussion are divided into three main categories: organization, learning and social climate and communication. The result shows that the literature and the data collection, partly, doesn’t match and gives an insight into level-grouped teaching in music theory. The discussion shows that teachers need to be skilled in their profession to be able to use level grouping effectively and how teachers and student experience level-grouped teaching. (Less)
