Abstract
The number of highly educated people in Sweden is constantly increasing, and as more and more choose to pursue higher education at universities, interest in various aspects related to student well-being is also growing. The purpose of this study is to delve deeper into the concept of well-being, specifically the sub-concept - life satisfaction, and how this relates to the trendy but still underexplored topic of creativity. Based on Kaufman's five domains of creativity, the study examined the relationship between the different domains and participants' life satisfaction, while also taking into account participants' gender and study group affiliation to see if these factors play a role. A total of 111 students participated in the study,... (More)

Based on Kaufman's five domains of creativity, the study examined the relationship between the different domains and participants' life satisfaction, while also taking into account participants' gender and study group affiliation to see if these factors play a role. A total of 111 students participated in the study, where they were asked to complete a combined questionnaire consisting of Kaufman Domains of Creativity Scale and The Satisfaction with Life Scale. Correlation analyses have been conducted and the results showed that there were correlations between everyday creativity, academic creativity and artistic creativity in relation to life satisfaction. The correlations were found to vary depending on variables such as gender and study group affiliation. To explore whether the study's results can be utilized in practice, further research needs to be done to determine whether a causal relationship between the two variables exists, as it falls outside the scope of this study. The study confirms some of the previous research done on creativity and life satisfaction, but also produces new results concerning possible differences between different student groups that needs to be replicated and further investigated in research in the future. Abstract (Swedish)
(More)
The Satisfaction With Life Scale.
