Supervisor: Ola Thufvesson (Department of Service Management and Service Studies) Number of pages: 61
Purpose: The thesis aims to study and analyse a German Premium Fashion Company and its sustainability work, how they implement sustainability, and how its sustainability work permeates through the company. The thesis aims to investigate if the Premium Fashion Company in Germany is doing the minimum regarding sustainability work or if it permeates through the Company.
Research questions: How does a German Premium Fashion company work with sustainability in their organisation? What and how does the company communicate its sustainability work to the internal and external stakeholders in the organisation? How does the company's sustainability work permeate through the organisation and all the way to the end consumer?
Methodology: This work was conducted through multiple semi-structured interviews and virtual document analysis, aiming to better understand how the German Premium Fashion companies work with sustainability.
Conclusion: The thesis result has shown that the German Premium Fashion Company works with sustainability and sees the importance of sustainability work. However, sustainability work is not the most essential topic in all departments in the company. How the company works with sustainability is also poorly communicated to external stakeholders and the end consumers. The company does the minimal sustainability work needed to receive legitimacy but has the opportunity to provide more. (Less)
