Abstract
With this study I seek to contribute to existing research on young, regenerative farmers in Denmark by illuminating their relationship with alienation from nature. The title is “The Re-generation – a study of young, regenerative farmers in Denmark and their relationship to alienation from nature in a time of ecological crises”. A more detailed description the purpose of this research is that I want to provide a human ecological contribution to the existing knowledge about young Danish farmers with regenerative practices and their alienation from nature in a time characterized by both planetary and local challenges in climate and the environment. ‘Practices’ refers to the various activities and initiatives made by the Re-generation to pass... ‘Practices’ refers to the various activities and initiatives made by the Re-generation to pass on ecosystems in an improved state to future generations. The theory applied in the study is alienation from nature. Furthermore, using the story completion method, interviews, and the go-along approach, I found that farmers' work to rebuild the land simultaneously contributed to a rebuilding of themselves. Thus, farmers' regenerative practices can be interpreted as an attempt to minimize alienation from nature. (Less)
