- Abstract
- On the southern side of Lomma, along the dunes in the shallow bay, stretches Öresundsparken. A short walk from Alnarp between fields waving in the wind. On the other side, Malmövägen makes its way along the coast. Behind four upright flagpoles lies a bright blue road cafe. The sign is still there but the windows are all closed off. Between the tiles, slim birches are beginning to grow. The sound of loud cars on one side, quiet bird watchers on the other. In the summer, the park is populated by campers under the large pine trees. Along the beach, people walk their dogs. Groups gather around the fireplaces, listen to music and socialize towards sun-down.

The project focuses on Öresundsparken and Blå caféet up on the hill at its southern corner. A place with a unique location and strong qualities such as good ecological values and a view over the sea. At the same time, its character, use and context are vague and fragmented.
-How can this place be developed together with its context -time, landscape and people to open up, connect and activate the park? This work focuses on the cyclist and suggests a new bicycle café that ties the place together. It connects the regional bicykle paths that activates the place as well as the surroundings through movement. This also recreates the former entrance to Lomma that it used to be. Projektet utgår från Öresundsparken i Lomma, med fokus på området kring det Blå caféet på kullen i dess södra utkant. En unik plats med goda naturvärden, utblick över havet och närhet till Lomma, Alnarp och Malmö. Trots det är dess karaktär, användning och sammanhållning avslagen och spretig.
– Hur kan denna plats utvecklas i samklang med sin kontext -tid, landskap och människa för att öppna upp, knyta samman och aktivera parken på nytt? Arbetet tar fasta på cyklisten och föreslår ett nytt cykel-café som binder samman platsen. Genom att ta vara på de existerande värdena och resurserna på platsen föreslås en enkel transformation av byggnaden. Det formar en nod för de regionala cykellederna och aktiverar platsen och dess kontext genom rörelse. För att återskapa den entré till Lomma som den tidigare var. (Less)
