Abstract
The democratic backsliding happening in Europe, has been a widely debated topic since its appearance during the 21st century. In Poland, one of the countries often used as a textbook example of democratic backsliding, we’re now able to discern tendencies that democracy is stabilizing once again. Through strong resistance, both civil, political and supranational, involved forces are turning their backs on the former leading party in Poland. After eight years of a government that contributed to the decline of democracy, we are now facing a shift in power with politician Donald Tusk in the lead.
