Vad har Sense of Belonging för betydelse på arbetsplatser? Studier på Belonging är omfattande och har visat sig ha många positiva effekter, trots detta har det länge funnits en lucka inom studier på vad Belonging har för inverkan på just arbetsplatser. Syftet för denna studie var att undersöka Sense of Belonging och dess potentiella påverkan på Organizational Identification (OID), Self-Efficacy och arbetsprestation på arbetsplatsen. Det är viktigt både för den anställde och organisationen att ha en välfungerande psykosocial arbetsmiljö. Att det var just dessa variabler som undersöktes beror på att de har stor betydelse för organisationer och dess anställda avseende såväl välmående som produktivitet. Vad har Sense of Belonging för betydelse på arbetsplatser? Studier på Belonging är omfattande och har visat sig ha många positiva effekter, trots detta har det länge funnits en lucka inom studier på vad Belonging har för inverkan på just arbetsplatser. Syftet för denna studie var att undersöka Sense of Belonging och dess potentiella påverkan på Organizational Identification (OID), Self-Efficacy och arbetsprestation på arbetsplatsen. Det är viktigt både för den anställde och organisationen att ha en välfungerande psykosocial arbetsmiljö. Att det var just dessa variabler som undersöktes beror på att de har stor betydelse för organisationer och dess anställda avseende såväl välmående som produktivitet. Betydelsen av Sense of Belonging undersöktes i en organisationskontext genom en tvärsnittsdesign med en enkät som besvarades online av 159 personer. Resultaten visade positiva korrelationer mellan Sense of Belonging och OID, Self-Efficacy samt arbetsprestation var för sig. Vidare indikerade regressionsanalysen att Sense of Belonging hade en signifikant effekt på både OID, Self-Efficacy och arbetsprestation vilket stöder hypoteserna. Denna forskning ger insikter om betydelsen av Belonging för individens upplevelse och prestation på arbetsplatsen samt ger viktig information till organisationer som strävar efter att ha en välmående och produktiv organisation på alla nivåer. The results demonstrated positive correlations between Sense of Belonging and OID, Self-Efficacy, and work performance individually. Furthermore, the regression analysis indicated that Sense of Belonging had a significant effect on both OID, Self-Efficacy, and work performance, thus supporting our hypotheses. This research provides insights into the importance of Belonging for individual experiences and performance in the workplace and offers vital information to organizations striving to foster a well-functioning and productive environment at all levels.
