Abstract
This systematic literature review explored the relationship between attachment styles and responses to social exclusion scenarios. Attachment theory provided a theoretical framework to understand how early experiences with caregivers shaped individuals' emotional bonds and interpersonal behaviors, ultimately influencing their responses to social challenges and situations later in life. The review investigated how individuals with varying attachment styles, stemming from high or low levels of attachment avoidance and anxiety, mediated the negative effects of social exclusion. The review synthesized findings from diverse empirical studies, including experimental manipulations and neuroimaging studies, to uncover the association between... (More)

Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
