This research is a qualitative inquiry into mechanisms that facilitate the diffusion of information about living and working in Sweden among Polish immigrants and their transnational links between Polish immigrants in Sweden and Poles in Poland. Give extensive nature to which migration has been studied, this research aimed to be an explorative study and provide ground for further research in the unexplored area of the diffusion mechanisms of information within immigrant social networks. The premise of this research was to aim to also understand how immigrants use their network to garner knowledge about a potential immigration destination.

This research aims in providing transformative knowledge in the inquired area of research and in the development field. The aims of the research provided valuable insight on an unexplored area of research that can pave way for further research into the complexity of social networks and how they function. Some of the recommendations are tailored towards understanding clustering of immigrants with different nationalities and whether prejudice would arise during economic social stress resulting in selective information sharing.
